The 2015 Willy Burhen Cup
As usual, the XC season for Evergreen Soaring started in March; however it did not really start in earnest this year until the beginning of April. We had a number of days with exciting soaring conditions that combined strong lift with showers and overdevelopments, that required shifting between survival flying and racing. Altogether one would call that spring soaring with flights extending to over 5 hours. For three pilots this was a chance to test their off-field landing skills (without problems) while others posted their best west side flights ever. Several pilots from PSSA joined in this spurt of XC activity and added to the competition.
So here is the WBC 2015 as of 4/10/2015 for flights with over 100 points:

Note, that this list includes a flight by Thomas V., that was flown in December in the Mount Pilchuck wave. And just for the record, Ron Clark flew the first serious XC from the Pilchuck wave to Mount Baker and back on Mar. 27.
Let’s see this list grow!
